Experience in the use of Hyperbaric Oxygenation (HBO) in 56 neurosurgical
patients with cerebral vascular aneurysms, mainly in the postoperative
period, testifies to the expediency of including this method in the complex
of therapeutic measures for these patients. The deep oxygenation of the
body tissues, the brain included, produced by HBO makes it possible to
prevent in many cases the development of severe and stable neurological
defects in the postoperative period and contributes to the normalization of
vitally important functions.
